Does it matter?

I am a techie senior. I don’t do hard coding. I don’t know Python or JavaScript or PHP. I even had to google to come up with the names of computer languages for this post. I am not interested to learn any of these. I’m thankful I can run to my web geek associate-turned-good friend JM to help me set up and fix the backend of my WordPress site.

I’ve learned enough tech to create and design things. When I first worked as a graphic designer for the Holiday Inn hotel in the mid 80s, everything was done manually. Even though I don’t know coding, I’ve learned to recognise patterns and copy and paste codes. Technology is a great servant. I know enough to use AI.

Of all the tech I’ve meddled with, AI is the one that makes me stop in my tracks. It is a different kettle of fish altogether.

Whether you care or don’t care, whether you use it or not, whether intentionally or unintentionally, others around us are. Artificial Intelligence has invaded EVERY part of our lives.

I have not figured out what kind of a creature AI is. This 32-minute video about Artificial Intelligence by Nick Jones raises more questions than answers which I found both disturbing and thought-provoking.

What the video is about:

  • Intro to AI
  • FDA approves human trial for Neuralink brain implants
  • 60-minutes reporter Tom Steinfield interviews a humanoid named Amica
  • Elon Mask is building humanoids that live in our homes
  • AI humanoid girlfriends to help us with our loneliness 🤔
  • ChatGPT writes a sermon on the role of AI in the end times according the book of Revelation in the Bible 😲

What is the price of AI?
