25 years later…

When I asked Len to help me learn Filipino, Father pleasantly surprised me with SO MUCH MORE! We have very similar interests. I have missed having a fellow creative, a practitioner, and one so passionate about sharing Christ to bounce off ideas with. She’s also into storytelling AND Bible storying.

She does social media for a western-based company from her home in the Philippines. It’s so nice that Father gave me someone to discuss techie stuff, software, social media platforms, etc.

We skipped Tagalog lessons yesterday because I wanted to bounce off my thoughts about repurposing my YouTube channels and other social media to start podcasting. I had been wondering if I should drop the idea altogether for fear that my voice and face will provide material for imitations.

I have been in semi-retirement mode for the past two years caring for Mum. Having someone younger to give me nudges is very helpful. I kept thinking my audience demographics should be someone my age but she said I should target the millennials (she’s one), those in their 40s and entering life transitions. She affirmed that spending time with me is the highlight of her week.

This 65-year-old is learning so much revamping her various social media platforms – interesting and totally unexpected.

11 I am still as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me;
my strength now is as my strength was then…
– Joshua 14:11, ESV

In 2010 when I was 50, I left the mission organisation I was with after serving for 20 years to start my storytelling solopreneur. My peer asked me, “Are you sure you want to start this at 50?

Haha, Now 25 years later… 🤦🏻‍♀️ Here I go again.
