Oops! I guess 🤷🏻♀️
The first of January is always a good day to start something new. I was planning to start blogging again when 2025 started. Well, 1 January 2025 came and went. Seven days of the new year have passed. Did I start? Haha NO! 🤷🏻♀️ What can I say? Oops I guess.
My last post was 12 December 2024! But hey, I won’t sweat it. I started this blog out of passion and pleasure. No one’s chasing me for deadlines (except my own inner clock).
I think it was Oscar Wilde who said, “If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing well.” But have you heard the other saying:
If a thing worth doing, it is worth doing.
It doesn’t have to be done well and it doesn’t have to be perfect (says me). I can always tweak along the way.
So here I am. I will say something today. Anything. Even if I don’t know where to start. To wait to get it right is to never start. I just need to get my writing engine cranked up again.
- 🛳️ 28 Nov to 3 Dec. I organised a Royal Caribbean cruise for my family.
- 🚑 8 Dec. Mum had to be rushed to A&E. She fell and broke her wrist.
- 🏠 11-21 Dec. Our neighbourhood went through a government-initiated Home Improvement Programme (HIP). I opted in because it would fix some of the things that need repair. The project is heavily subsidised. But most importantly, it would make our home more elderly friendly.
- 🚽 Lots of pre- and post-HIP to do.
- 😢 My tooth is about to be extracted
